Chelsea training continued at Cobham as Joao Pedro set out the next target after the 5-1 win over Bournemouth: backing up that attacking display with a clean sheet.

The Blues have a free midweek before their Premier League trip to Everton. Xabi Alonso and his players are using that time to build on work they started during the international break.
Chelsea training builds on Bournemouth win
In the club’s latest official training gallery, published on Wednesday, Joao Pedro explained why that time on the training pitch had mattered.
“The international break was a long time. We had time to work, to fix the mistakes against Brentford, and we got a great result,” he said.
Chelsea followed that work with five goals against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge. It was a strong return for the Chelsea training work, but Joao Pedro did not treat the scoreline as the end of the process.
“Of course, you want to win with a clean sheet, so we need to keep working. Hopefully the next game we can get that, but it was a great game and three more points.”
Everton trip is the next focus
The club said Alonso used the extended international break to get more of his ideas across. With no midweek fixture, the squad can continue that work before travelling to Merseyside.
Wednesday’s Chelsea training session was part of those preparations. The photographs show the group at work, but the club’s article does not announce a new injury update or a starting XI for Everton.
That distinction matters before Friday’s press conference. Alonso will have a further chance to discuss the trip, with the club’s official weekly diary confirming that supporters can watch his preview on Chelsea’s website and app.
The Bournemouth victory gave Chelsea a result to build on. Joao Pedro’s comments make the next step clear: keep the attacking progress while doing more to shut out the opposition.
Chelsea visit Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off at 12.30pm UK time. Chelsea training this week is about turning one strong home result into a performance that travels.
